So you have organic chemistry, bio organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, statistics, very well rounded, but science have the approach to nutrition.
Guest Answer: And for the most part, a bachelor of science degree was the pathway to becoming a registered dietitian, and many dietitians have gone that route, though that process is changing of it.
Guest Answer: A bachelor’s in nutrition science is going to be covering all those for science classes, so chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and then also opening up food lab and food science. So you will take courses where you’re directly kind of manipulating ingredients, understanding cooking, and menu planning also. And with this degree program, you can apply for dietetic internships as of now, starting in twenty twenty four, you will need further education, but you also can, you know, work in government agencies so with or USDA or any sort of nonprofit organization, a bachelor’s degree in nutrition science would be very football.
Guest Answer: A bachelor’s degree in nutrition takes four years. You’re doing classes on like organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, food science, microbiology, all the sciences. You’re doing medical terminology, And then you probably do some different things in, like, specialized populations, so it might be eating disorders, geriatrics, pediatrics, counseling people. They wanna expose you to kind of all of the areas that you can practice in.
Guest Answer: So there’s community nutrition, clinical nutrition where you learn about diseases and treatment, food science, and then just kind of being out in the community being able to counsel people, educate people, things like that. That takes four years, and then if you don’t go on to pursue an r d after that, you can call yourself a nutritionist. You might go into nutrition education. You could go into fitness if you wanted, a lot of different nutrition jobs will just be okay with having that kind of degree.
Guest Answer: You just can’t do what an r d does, so you can’t provide medical nutrition therapy and you can’t provide individualized nutrition plans for people.
